Pampas Galeras National Reserve

Pampas Galeras is three hours from Nasca via a fully asphalted road. You arrive at a natural protected area called Pampas Galeras National Reserve, or "Barbara D´Achille," where animals of the Andean region such as the Vicuña are protected in a very particular way. The Vicuña is represented in the National Shield of Peru.
In this place, plenty of outdoor activities are on offer, such as photographic safari, walks, and horse riding. On June 24th you can participate in the ritual of the "chaku," the shearing of vicuñas with the native communities.
It is very interesting to observe the evolution of the vegetation in the different ecological floors crossed during the trip.
